In a bid to reduce maternal mortality rates, the Federal Government has launched the Maternal Mortality Reduction Innovation and Initiatives (MAMII), a national effort designed to reduce deaths among mothers and newborns.

Eleven Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Bauchi State will participate in the implementation of the Nigeria Healthcare Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp) project under the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (NHSRII).

The Federal Government has unveiled the Maternal Mortality Reduction Innovation and Initiatives (MAMII) project aimed at addressing Nigeria’s troubling maternal and neonatal mortality rates.
