The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA), has called on Nigerians living in flood-prone areas to move to higher grounds.

The agency, in a statement issued by the Head of NEMA Operation in Minna, Mrs. Zainab Suleiman-Sa’idu on Monday, advised village and district heads as well as religious leaders, especially those at community levels, to begin the preparations in order to mitigate the effect of the flood.
