T2, a telecommunications company, says it has signed a multi-million-dollar partnership with India’s Knot Solutions to modernise its Business and Operations Support Systems.
The Chief Executive Officer of T2, Obafemi Banigbe, announced this during the signing ceremony at the GITEX Nigeria Tech Expo and Future Economy Conference in Lagos on Wednesday.
Banigbe described the partnership as a milestone in T2’s four-phase transformation strategy—stabilisation, modernisation, transformation, and growth—as the company repositions for a comeback in Nigeria’s telecom sector.
“This structured approach underscores our commitment to restoring competitiveness, driving customer-focused innovation, and enabling Nigeria’s digital future,” he said.
He noted that initiatives such as national roaming and a multi-million-dollar infrastructure deal with Huawei formed part of a dual strategy to modernise operations and expand infrastructure access.
“T2 is poised to redefine the digital experience for millions of Nigerian customers,” Banigbe added.
He stressed that the deals marked a defining moment in T2’s return to market leadership and reflected investor confidence, led by Chairman Thomas Etuh.
“This is not just a system upgrade. It is a customer-first revolution that transforms how people interact with their digital world—seamlessly, instantly, and on their terms,” he said.
Banigbe explained that T2 Mobile was moving beyond traditional telecom operations, evolving into a platform offering voice, data, digital financial services, content, cloud solutions, and lifestyle products.
“We are building an ecosystem where connectivity unlocks possibilities across entertainment, education, commerce, and financial empowerment,” he noted.
He added that back-to-back deals with Huawei and Knot Solutions underscored T2’s deep commitment to the Nigerian market.
Knot Solutions’ Chief Executive Officer, Sumanth Konuru, said Africa’s telecom landscape was evolving rapidly, with BSS and OSS modernisation central to the transformation.
“Through our flagship cloud-native platform, RaptrDXP™, T2 can move beyond rigid models into a dynamic, hyper-personalised ecosystem. We are proud to join this journey,” Konuru stated.
He added that the partnership was about more than efficiency, focusing on unmatched customer experiences—from real-time billing to tailored service bundles.
According to him, T2 customers would benefit from a smarter and more intuitive digital journey.
