The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has commenced the training of its staff on a new Performance Management System (PMS) as part of efforts to drive digital transformation and improve service delivery.
Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Mohammed Bello Shehu, OFR, reaffirmed RMAFC’s commitment to embracing digital tools to replace outdated processes. Represented by Ismail Mohammed Agaka, Federal Commissioner representing Kwara State, Dr. Shehu said the new PMS would take over from the old annual performance evaluation report, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
He urged staff to embrace the reforms, noting that the shift from analog to digital operations would streamline processes and minimise errors. “If you do not shake into the system, the system will likely shake you out,” he cautioned.
The Secretary to the Commission, Mr. Nwaeze Joseph Okechukwu, described RMAFC as one of Nigeria’s strategic institutions, stressing that the training would equip officers with the necessary skills for digital transformation. He encouraged staff to “learn, unlearn, and relearn,” while also maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and proper dress culture.
Delivering a goodwill message, the PMS Consultant from Reliefline Nigeria Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Ohiro, commended the initiative and urged participants to take the workshop seriously as it would enhance their performance and service delivery.
The training, organised by the Administration and Human Resources Department in collaboration with Reliefline Nigeria Limited, began on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, and will run daily until Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
