Founder and Chairman of Zinox Technologies, Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh, says Nigeria must ensure uninterrupted power supply to achieve digital transformation.
Speaking at the Institute of Change Management (ICM) annual conference in Lagos on Thursday, Ekeh, represented by Chris Uwaje, pioneer of Nigeria’s National IT Policy, said reliable energy remains the backbone of infrastructure, production, and supply.
“We cannot wish for change without prioritising abundant energy resources. Power supply is the backbone of the future of digital transformation,” he said, warning that Africa risks being left behind if it fails to adapt to the global shift driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and quantum computing.
Ekeh urged African leaders to inspire and empower their workforce, adopt innovative education, and build resilient business models. He stressed that sustainable change must be merit-based, supported by trusted and well-remunerated human resources.
“Change begins with leadership that fosters humility, empathy, trust, creativity, and innovation. The future belongs to those prepared to navigate its complexities with courage and resilience,” he added.
Earlier, ICM President, Mr. Nat Osewele, said the transformations initiated today would shape a more inclusive and forward-looking society, noting that “the future is not something to be feared, but designed.”
