The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) has reaffirmed its commitment to boost the Federal Government’s digitalisation agenda.
The Director-General of NBTI Mr Kazeem Raji, made this commitment in an interview on Wednesday in Abuja.
The NBTI is dedicated to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria
Raji said given Nigeria’s efforts to harness the transformative power of emerging technologies, NBTI was commitment to fostering technological advancement within the country.
“Currently we are doing grassroots technology that is like a traditional technology and electromechanical in nature.
“But from their we are going to advance from electromechanical technology to digital and emerging technology, so that Nigeria will rival western nations and not be left behind” he said.
Raji underscored the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving the organisation’s objectives.
He urged members of staff to work cohesively to drive technological advancement and foster economic growth across the country.
“We see the current challenges in the sector as a responsibility to be at the forefront of enabling tech advancement.
“At the centre of this transformation is human capital development without which nothing can be achieved.
“So, the importance of collaboration and co-creation between the Government and the technology industry players is a critical determinant of a digital nation,’’ he said.
