ASHENEWS reports that drivers in the United States of America (USA) are currently switching to electric vehicles (EV) due to the falling prices and improved technology of the electric vehicles.
A new reseach study by FormRush gathered for over six years (2016-2022) showed that electric vehicles are currently surging in popularity across the United States.
The research showed that the drivers who are switching to electric vehicles may have decided that electric vehicles provide a sustainable transportation option that reduces dependence on fossil fuels and lowers emissions.
The research study explored the growth of the Electric vehicles market by ranking the states with the highest adoption rates and detailing their impressive growth over recent years.
“Electric vehicles are widely seen as the way of the future, and the United States is making significant progress toward embracing them. Consumers are frequently attracted to the novel features and benefits that electric vehicles provide”, the research quoted.
The data showed that the current number of Electric Vehicle (EV) Owners stands at 2,442,300 showing that from 2016 to 2022, there was a remarkable 771.3 per cent increase in the number of electric cars in the U.S with a significant rise of 67.9 per cent rise in electric vehicles ownership from 2021 to 2022.
The top 10 states outpacing the country in electric vehicles ownership are California, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, New Jersey, Arizona, Utah and Vermont.
