Luft Pay TV, on Wednesday, officially launched its entry into Nigeria’s competitive satellite television market, pledging to deliver accessible, affordable, and locally relevant content to viewers.
The inauguration, held in Lagos, comes at a time when many Nigerians are burdened by frequent increases in subscription rates from major digital satellite television providers.
Speaking at the unveiling, Mr. Yemi Adebowale, Head of Corporate Communications and Media at Luft Pay TV, said the platform was developed using the latest technologies to meet the growing demand for budget-friendly, high-quality home entertainment.
He stated that Luft Pay TV aims to stand out through its high-definition content, premium children’s programming, and a strong focus on indigenous storytelling.
“This is not just about delivering television; it’s about delivering trust, clarity, and connection,” he said.
The service offers a single bouquet subscription model priced at ₦7,500 per month. Subscribers gain access to over 35 premium channels spanning sports, Nollywood, Hollywood, kids’ content, documentaries, music, and lifestyle.
According to Adebowale, the decoder is priced at ₦25,000, while a complete set-top box kit with accessories goes for ₦35,000.
He emphasized that this simplified model eliminates the complexity of multiple subscription tiers and hidden fees, offering a more transparent and user-friendly experience.
Adebowale also highlighted that Luft Pay TV is a wholly Nigerian-owned brand committed to promoting local storytelling through strategic partnerships with indigenous content creators.
