The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, has announced that the innovative mobile application, Omo-Eko App, is 90% complete. He disclosed this during a stakeholders’ engagement meeting held on Friday in Lagos to review the progress made on the app’s development.
According to Osiyemi, the Omo-Eko App is a cutting-edge mobile solution designed to cater to both residents and visitors, offering a seamless experience for all transportation-related activities and updates in Lagos State.
“The app will provide real-time navigation, detailed information about the Ministry of Transportation and its agencies, and updates on traffic and other developments across the state,” Osiyemi stated.
He emphasized that the initiative is part of the government’s efforts to transform Lagos into a smart city by leveraging technology to improve accessibility, enhance service delivery, and simplify life for residents and commuters.
The commissioner added that the app’s official unveiling would take place soon, marking a significant milestone in the Lagos State Government’s vision of creating a modern, efficient, and user-friendly urban environment.
The stakeholders’ meeting was attended by key officials and partners, including Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA); Mr. Akin-George Fashola, Director of the Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS); Mr. Olasunkanmi Ojowuro, Director of Transport Operations; Representatives from MTN, and Members of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy
The collaboration with these stakeholders underscores the government’s commitment to delivering a robust and inclusive platform for the benefit of Lagosians.
