GIG Mobility Nigeria (GIGM) has transformed from a traditional transport company into a full-scale global mobility ecosystem, unveiling an integrated platform designed to redefine travel and customer experience.
CEO Dr. Enahoro Okhae announced this at the 2026 GIGM Product Conference in Lagos, where the company launched a unified digital platform combining multiple mobility services.
Okhae described the shift as a strategic response to rising customer demand for seamless mobility solutions.
“We are no longer just a company moving people from Lagos to Benin. We are now a global mobility organisation. Our platform brings bus transport, airline tickets, vehicle hire, tours, and soon hotels and insurance together in one ecosystem,” he said.
The platform allows users to access a wide range of travel services in one place, eliminating fragmentation across the sector.
Highlighting innovation, Okhae introduced “HireX,” a vehicle-hire marketplace enabling users to access premium cars on demand. He also unveiled “PASS by GIGM,” integrating airline bookings, visa services, curated tours, and other travel solutions into a single interface.
“This is about moving from selling transportation to selling experiences,” he said, adding that GIGM plans to deploy electric vehicles (EVs) for passenger transport and develop a nationwide charging infrastructure.
The company also intends to strengthen partnerships within the tourism sector, including mobility support for activities in Abeokuta, Ogun. Okhae emphasized that technology remains central to GIGM’s operations and growth strategy.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, represented by Dr. Quadri Adebowale, highlighted the importance of integrated mobility to tourism development and economic growth.
“Mobility is not just moving from one point to another. It connects people to experiences, business, culture, nightlife, food, fashion, and enterprise. Fragmented transport systems can hinder tourism and productivity,” she said, noting the state’s Ethno-Mobility initiative to promote collaboration and inclusive transport.
The conference marks the inaugural GIG Mobility Product Conference, which the company plans to hold annually to showcase innovations shaping the future of mobility.
