Maintaining its position as Africa’s leading conglomerate, Dangote Industries Limited has embraced cutting-edge technology to optimize efficiency across its subsidiaries.
Speaking at the just-concluded 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair, Senior Advisor to the President of the Dangote Group, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, highlighted the company’s ongoing digitization efforts, emphasizing their role in accelerating manufacturing and sales processes.
“As some of you may be aware, we have digitized our manufacturing and sales operations by deploying automated and smart systems, particularly in our cement plants,” she stated during the Dangote Special Day, aligning with the Trade Fair’s theme: Promoting Efficiency in Manufacturing, Trade, and Agriculture through Digital Transformation.
She noted that processes that previously took days are now completed within minutes, thanks to integrated advanced technology across Dangote’s operations, including cement, sugar, salt, fertilizer, petrochemicals, and agriculture.
According to her, customer feedback has reinforced the success of the company’s innovative ordering channel, driving both satisfaction and future growth.
“The DMS Application, available on Android and iOS, enables registered customers in the cement, sugar, and salt sectors to easily access our products anytime, anywhere,” she added.
The Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (DPAN) plant has also leveraged advanced technology, achieving a daily production capacity of 120 vehicles and an annual output of 44,000 units.
“By assembling globally renowned Peugeot models—such as the Landtrek pickup, 3008, 5008, and 508 GT—DPAN fosters trade by reducing import dependency and providing locally assembled vehicles at competitive prices,” she explained.
