President Bola Tinubu has described Vice President Kashim Shettima as a dependable and loyal partner in the mission to transform Nigeria, as he felicitated with him on his 59th birthday.
In a warm congratulatory message, the President said Shettima has consistently demonstrated reliability, competence, and devotion to the vision of national renewal.
“My brother, co-traveller and Vice President, your vibrancy, courage, determination, and unwavering faith in our country have been remarkable. You are a reliable and loyal partner in the Renewed Hope Agenda, and I deeply appreciate your commitment,” Tinubu said.
The President recalled his choice of Shettima as his running mate in 2023, noting that it was a deliberate decision to work with someone of proven character, intellect, and patriotism. “Every day since then,” he added, “you have justified that decision with your steadfast service and loyalty to Nigeria.”
Tinubu praised Shettima’s political journey, from his two terms as Governor of Borno State to his tenure as Senator for Borno Central, highlighting his record of leadership built on service rather than privilege.
He further commended Shettima’s active role in implementing the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda—particularly in advancing food security, driving investment reforms, expanding educational and healthcare opportunities, and fostering sustainable job creation.
According to Tinubu, Shettima has also been instrumental in strengthening global partnerships for Nigeria’s growth and development.
Beyond governance, the President described their partnership as symbolic of Nigeria’s unity, bridging regional and traditional divides with mutual respect and shared purpose.
As he wished the Vice President many more years in good health, Tinubu prayed for greater wisdom, strength, and continued impactful service to the nation.
