Buhari seeks Senate’s confirmation of 2 as CBN deputy governors

ASHENEWS reports that the confirmation of the two is being sought for the second and last time in office..

President Muhammadu Buhari is seeking the confirmation of the Director (Human Resources) at the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN), Edward Adamu for the position of Deputy Governor and Deputy Governor, Mrs Aisha Ndanusa Ahmad both for the second and last time in those positions.

Buhari in the letter read by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan during plenary on Tuesday, said the request is pursuant to Section 8(1) (2) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) (Establishment) Act 2007.

In a similar vein, Buhari has sought Senate’s confirmation of Ambassador Ayuba Ngbako from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as member of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The president also forwarded the 2023 Statutory budget proposals of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to the Senate for consideration and approval pursuant to section 121 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.
