President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday approved the appointment of three new Executive Commissioners at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission pending their confirmation by the Senate.
They are (Northwest), Executive Commissioner, Exploration and Acreage Management, Mr. Bashir Indabawa,; (South-South); Executive Commissioner, Development and Production, Mr. Enorense Amadasun and (Southwest), Executive Commissioner, Economic Regulation and Strategic Planning, Mr. Babajide Fasina
The president also approved the redeployment of (Southeast), Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services and Administration, Dr. Kelechi Ofoegbu
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, made the disclosure in a statement he issued on Tuesday in Abuja.
Ngelale explained that the step aimed at establishing a regulatory framework and culture that comprehensively disincentives errant behaviour and incentivizes diligence and rules-based business practice across the industry.
