President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, received in audience, Sokoto state governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, in Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Tambuwal is one of the front runners for the opposition People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential ticket.
Although details of the meeting was not made known to newsmen, a source in the presidential villa said it could not be unconnected to national issues, specifically insecurity.
The ace presidential aspirant of the PDP in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, did not reveal details of his meeting with the President.
Tambuwal is the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, vice chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF).
