The five aggrieved governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) known as G5, have had strategic meeting in Lagos.
Also in the meeting were former governors, former ministers, a former Attorney-General of the Federation and former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Bode George and some serving senators.
A source told Vanguard that the meeting was to avail them the opportunity to review developments in the party and take appropriate step.
The G5 governors included Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, Samuel Ortom of Benue state; Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state.
The former governors are Dr Olusegun Mimiko, Mr Ayo Fayose, Mr Donald Duke ans Mr Jonah Jang.
Also present were former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Mr Bello Adoke; Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Mr Taoferk Arapaja; Senator Nasif Suleiman, Mr Nnena Ukeje, Senator S. O. Onor and Senator Mao Ohabunwa.
Now called Integrity Group, the group have been agitating for the resignation of the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu to pave the way for the South to produce the party’s National Chairman.
