The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2022 general elections, Atiku Abubakar has assured that the party will bring all aggrieved members on board as the party seeks to reclaim power in 2023.
Atiku stated this when he attended a wedding ceremony as well as opened a campaign office dedicated to his 2023 aspiration in Gombe on Saturday.
According to him, the PDP will leave nothing to chance and will continue working assiduously towards regaining its lost glory.
ASHENEWS gathered that the office complex and 10 campaign vehicles were donated to the Atiku/Okowa’s Presidential campaign Council by the PDP first runner-up in the state governorship election, Jamilu Ishaku.
Atiku who spoke with journalists at the Sani Abacha International Airport Gombe, described the chances of the PDP in the forthcoming general elections as quite high.
“PDP is a very popular party and it is the oldest party in Nigeria. We have realised that we made mistakes.”
He said despite the growing misgivings and internal wranglings within the main opposition party, continuous efforts are on at all levels to ensure the PDP does not approach next year’s elections as a divided house.
“I’m still talking to aggrieved members of the party and I believe at the end of the day we will work together.”
