#NigeriaDecides – In her desire to see Nigerians elect “a true leader” during her lifetime, an octogenarian, Mrs. Lucy Abua, has decided to vote in Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections.
The 84 year old Abua, in an interview with the at her Saint Vicent Primary School polling unit of Nkum-Aladim in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River, expressed optimism that Nigerians are on the threshold of getting the true leader that they deserve.
She expressed the desire to see Nigerians begin to reap the benefit of good governance before she passes on.
“I came out as early as possible to execute my constitutional right of ensuring that I contribute to the enthronement of a true leader and good governance in general.” the octogenarian said.
Similarly, Mrs. Juliana Igbagi, a septuagenarian, who also voted in the same polling unit, said she would not leave her polling unit until her vote was counted.
“You can look around yourself and see if you will be happy with the situation of things.
“We are here to elect people that can make a difference in our life as a country,” she said.
