“One of the greatest honors of my entire life — officiating the wedding of my beloved nephew (aka my ‘first son’) @toks417 and the love of his life @nicole_lus,” the 46-year-old wrote in her Monday post, adding #toksandnicole.
Toks and Nicole got engaged in October 2022.
In November 2023, they bought a home in Middletown, Connecticut.
Toks shared a photo of himself and Nicole in front of the apartment on Instagram with the caption, “Officially Middletown homeowners.”
Born in Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria, Adichie’s childhood was influenced by the aftermath of the colonial rule, and the Nigerian Civil War which took the lives of both of her grandfathers.
The war was the setting for her first novel and the subject of her second. Most of her works explore the themes of religion, Americanization, immigration, racism, gender, marriage, motherhood and womanhood.
