A group of important women in Ogun State, led by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Motunrayo Adeleye, praised the wife of the state governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun. They admired her leadership and dedication to helping women and improving the lives of children in the state.
These women made their comments during a special birthday celebration for Mrs. Abiodun. The event took place at the Juvenile Correctional Centre in Asero, Abeokuta, and a statement from Adeleye was shared with the media on Thursday.
At the event, Adeleye described the First Lady as a kind and selfless person. She said Mrs. Abiodun has always supported the government by promoting programs that help women and protect children in Ogun State.
She also said the First Lady’s choice to celebrate her birthday with children in a correctional center shows her deep care for people in need and her belief in supporting everyone, no matter their situation.
Adeleye said, “Your Excellency, your life is more than just a title. You show strength, respect, and deep kindness.”
She praised Mrs. Abiodun’s Ajose Foundation and how it works closely with the Ministry to bring real help to people. She said the First Lady’s work has given new hope and support to many women and children in the state.
She added that whether it’s helping women, educating girls, or promoting good health, the First Lady’s efforts are seen and felt across the state. Women and children are thankful for her true love and purpose.
Other speakers at the event, including the Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Ajayi Bolanle, and several advisers and officials, also praised the First Lady. They thanked her for always supporting efforts to improve the lives of women and children.
They also encouraged the children at the center to dream big, saying the current government will continue to make sure they have a safe place to grow.In her own speech, Mrs. Abiodun thanked everyone for their kind words. She also praised the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development for promoting the values she believes in.
She promised to continue supporting policies that give more power and opportunities to women and children.
The event ended with the First Lady donating food and gifts to the children at the correctional center.
