The Plateau State Government has affirmed its commitment to strengthen the capacity of its healthcare system to ensure effective service delivery to the residents of the state.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Cletus Bako, reiterated this pledge during a visit to the Kanke and Langtang cottage hospitals, which have been upgraded to general hospitals.

Bako emphasized that Governor Caleb Mutfwang is dedicated to enhancing the service delivery capabilities of primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare facilities in the state. This initiative aims to address the health needs of the populace and promote medical tourism.

The state has already embarked on initiatives such as providing modern healthcare equipment, recruiting and incentivizing qualified healthcare personnel, and creating a conducive environment for the healthcare system to flourish.
