The Niger State Police Command has provided residents with free medical care in Minna, the Niger state capital as part of events to commemorate this year’s National Police Day.
The event, which was coordinated by the Police Medical Team provided free healthcare services to residents across the state.
The three-day event which began on April 2nd offered free consultations and treatments at the Central Police Station in Minna.
This was followed by visits to Bosso Division on April 3rd and Tudun-Wada Division on April 4th
According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, the police medical team attended to an overwhelming number of beneficiaries who expressed appreciation for the gesture.
On his part, the Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Abdullahi Elleman assured the public that under his leadership, the police would continue to work diligently to maintain law and order, chase away criminal elements, and create a safer environment for all residents.
He also called on potential criminals to turn a new leaf or leave the state.
This online platform reports that other activities lined up to commemorate the day included town hall meetings, community sanitations/clean-up with police personnel across the Police Divisions in the State, School outreach with POCACOV team, and a walkathon.
