The Founder of Hope Risers Global Foundation (HRGF), Mrs. Angonimi David-Imeh, has described the Foundation’s Project Christmas With Hope (CWH) 2025 as a success, noting its positive impact on communities across Nigeria during the festive season.
David-Imeh made the disclosure during an interview at the flagship nationwide humanitarian intervention held at the IDP Camp in Durumi, Area 1, Abuja, on Wednesday, highlighting the project’s reach and transformative effect.
The initiative, themed “Lighting Up Lives: A Christmas of Hope and Unity,” was organized by HRGF in partnership with Enitan Growth Hub, Tech Herfrica, Ivyline Care Foundation, Abila Foundation, Pregnancy Care Support, and several other organizations nationwide.
David-Imeh explained that CWH 2025 was designed as a nationwide food drive to cushion the harsh economic realities faced by vulnerable Nigerians, particularly widows, families living in extreme poverty, and persons with disabilities.
“The project aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, while laying the groundwork for a long-term, home-grown agricultural sustainability initiative across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory,” she said.
In collaboration with partner organizations, HRGF created a network of compassion, logistics, and grassroots engagement, ensuring that food supplies and critical aid reached the communities and households most in need.
Beneficiaries of CWH 2025 included widows struggling to sustain households, men incapacitated by illnesses, persons with disabilities, and families whose income had been reduced to near zero.
David-Imeh emphasized that, for many recipients, the intervention represented more than just food; it offered reassurance that they had not been forgotten and restored hope during a challenging festive season.
She recounted an incident in Ekiti State where a state representative used part of outreach funds to pay medical bills for a young child living with sickle cell disease.
“The intervention enabled the child to secure a one-year health insurance cover, ensuring continued access to medical care and exemplifying the compassionate spirit underpinning Project CWH’s humanitarian objectives,” she said.
In Osun State, volunteers provided immediate relief to a family living in extreme deprivation, eliciting tears, prayers, and gratitude, reinforcing the transformative power of coordinated humanitarian action.
States like Enugu and Kebbi stood out for the scale of the project, with 500 households reached in each location, demonstrating HRGF’s capacity to mobilize resources effectively across Nigeria.
In Enugu, the Orchard Hub Foundation enhanced the initiative by collaborating with other local NGOs, expanding coverage and efficiency, highlighting the critical role of community-based partnerships in large-scale interventions.
David-Imeh noted that the project was founded on the belief that hope could be restored when people unite in compassion.
“What we are witnessing across Nigeria is proof that organized and purposeful compassion can restore dignity, improve nutrition, and ensure vulnerable families experience hope, unity, and practical support during the festive season,” she said.
