Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru has approved the immediate recruitment of 195 medical personnel including medical doctors, nurses as well as pharmacists to improve its healthcare delivery system.
Nwifuru made the approval in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor on Sunday in Abakaliki.
He noted that the health personnel would be deployed to the state health facilities in the 13 general hospitals across its 13 local government areas.
According to the governor, the recruitment involves 39 medical doctors, 39 nurses, 39 laboratory scientists, 39 pharmacists, and 39 health attendants, making a total of 195.
“The Head of Service and Chairman of the Civil Service Commission should urgently commence the process of recruiting suitably qualified medical personnel to fill the existing vacancies,” he added.
