The Chairman of Oyo State Hospitals Management Board (OYSHMB), Dr Akin Fagbemi, has revealed that the board would focus more on innovative initiatives to improve healthcare delivery in 2025.

Fagbemi made this known in his New Year message made available on Thursday in Ibadan.

The chairman said the board would launch innovative initiatives that would address emerging challenges through strategic partnerships.

He said that the partnerships would provide the public and caregivers with the skills and knowledge they would  need to excel in the rapidly changing world.

According to him, this would be done through training and capacity development to sustain healthcare delivery.

He stated that the board would expand its reach through partnerships and advocacy.

Fagbemi urged the workers to seize the  year as an opportunity for both personal and professional growth, by utilising the resources and support offered by the board.

“By staying true to our core values of integrity, professionalism and a commitment to sustainable healthcare, we will continue to make a positive impact in our society.

“One way to grow professionally is to network within the health sector.

“Workers are encouraged to activate activity with their various professional bodies spread across the country for personal development.

“As we embark on this journey together, I am confident that our collective vision and collaborative efforts will bring about transformative change in all secondary healthcare facilities and the communities we serve,” he said.

According to him, in 2024, the board commemorated various achievements in some facilities as testament to its enduring commitment to promoting the values of sustainable healthcare delivery.

The significant milestones, he added, were made possible through the hard work and dedication of each member of staff in all secondary health care facilities.

Fagbemi added that the successful 2024 recruitment, marked a new era toward effective and efficient service delivery in Oyo State hospitals.

“These achievements symbolises our continued efforts to meet the evolving needs of our society under a sustainable development vision of Gov. Seyi Makinde.

“With some of these accomplishments in 2024, as our foundation, we eagerly anticipate the opportunities that 2025 brings,” Fagbemi said.
