The Pan-African Leadership Transparent Centre has commended the Zamfara State House of Assembly over the passage of the state’s anti-thuggery Agency.

The group’s Country Coordinator, Mr. Volentine Agba, made the commendation while presenting Security Leadership Award to the chairman of the agency’s Standing Committee, Bello Bakyasuwa in Gusau.

Agba said the assembly deserved commendation for passing the bill, adding, ”if signed into law would boost the capacity of the agency in maintaining peace and order in the state.”

He said that the center was working to ensure good governance and accountability, saying, ”we monitor activities of Nigeria in this direction.

“We are awarding the Commmander of the Agency for his efforts on bolstering security and leadership.

“We decided to honor him and the staffers of the agency considering their roles in the protection of lives and properties of the citizens.

“We have been monitoring the activities of the agency since its inception, we recommend its efforts in reducing thuggery and arm-bearing activities among youths.

”This is commendable especially during the ongoing political rallies across the state by all the registered political parties, “
