The Kano state chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, has called on all Nigerians, especially Christians to spread peace and love during the festive season.
The chairperson, Bilkisu Ado Zango in a message of felicitation with all Christian faithful on Thursday, said they should use the Christmas and New year holidays, to extend hands to the poor and the needy in the society.
She urged Nigerians and members of NAWOJ to pray for the country in order to overcome the challenges of insecurity, among other issues bedeviling the country.
“As we celebrate Christmas and New year amid the second wave of COVID-19, which is ravaging many countries, Nigeria is not left out. There is need to adhere strictly to Covid-19 protocols and guidelines, including maintaining social distancing, using face masks, observing regular hand washing and use hand sanitizers at all times,” the statement reads.
She further advised members that would be embarking on journey to stay safe, avoid reckless driving and be security conscious.
Zango wished everyone hitch free holidays.
