Former governor of Zamfara and leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state Abdul’aziz Yari has commiserated with the family of an All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, Bello Gamji.
The former governor in a statement he personally signed and made available to ASHENEWS on Tuesday expressed deep shock over the loss.
“I was deeply shocked and saddened by the news of the passing away of my immediate lieutenant and close associate who served under different capacities during my tenure as Executive Governor of Zamfara state, Hon. Bello Dankande Gamji, (Walin Bakura) who died yesterday after a brief illness.
“Late Hon. Bello Dankande Gamji is not only a stakeholder or a leader in his community but, a hero in the country at large who sacrificed his life for the betterment of the country at large
“I would like to, on behalf of my humble self and the entire members of the All Progressives Congress, APC convey our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family, friends, people of Bakura and the entire state over the passing away of this courageous, loyal and patriotic citizen,” Yari stated.
According to him, he has constituted a five-man committee under the leadership of Muhammad Rini with members including Sani Kauran Malan, Rabiu Bakura, Abdullahi ‘Yarkufoji and Umar Jarma, to ascertain the expenses to be incurred on the education of his children at all levels with a view to providing them an effective care.
