Sen. Abdul’aziz Yari (APC-Zamfara) has donated 500 cows to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State.

This was contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim Birninmagaji, Chairman of the Publicity Committee for Yari’s Political Organisation, issued in Gusau on Sunday.

Yari represents Zamfara West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

According to the statement, the cows were distributed to APC members and stakeholders across the 147 political wards in the state’s 14 Local Government Areas.

“The gesture also covered party groups, elders, ward executives, members of Sen. Yari’s political structure, supporters of the Minister of Defence, Bello Matawalle, and new APC members who joined under Gov. Dauda Lawal,” it said.

The statement revealed that the donation is an annual initiative to support party leaders and members during festive periods.

It added that the gesture also covered logistics and other expenses related to the distribution of three cows to each of the 147 wards across the state.

The statement said the donation was aimed at enabling party members to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with ease.

It therefore urged the people of the state to use the period to offer prayers for the country, particularly for President Bola Tinubu.
