The Chairman of Kebbi Council of Emirs, and Emir of Gwandu in Kebbi, Muhammadu Iliyasu-Bashar, has urged Nigerians to demonstrate a high sense of patriotism to promote peace and Nigeria’s unity.
He stated this during a banquet organized in honour of the Vice-Chancellor of University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Georgewill Owunary, at his palace in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
According to him, Nigeria’s unity is important: “This country is ours, we must therefore see ourselves as brothers and sisters. Nigeria is a big country and contains so much, we must sacrifice to keep it one.”
