The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, says it arrested a man identified as Igbo Thomas for allegedly having sexual intercourse with three of his biological daughters.
The incident which occurred on May 24, 2021, took place in Enuoji village of Enugwu Ukwu, Njikoka local government area of Anambra state.
A resident of the village told newsmen that the suspect was apprehended by operatives of the Anambra state command of the NSCDC on the said date.
According to the resident, the suspect blamed his addiction to alcohol as the reason.
The spokesperson of Anambra State Police Command, Okadigbo Edwin in a statement on Wednesday, said that the suspect had been charged to court after the conclusion of investigation.
“It will be recalled that on May 24, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Anambra State Command arrested one Mr. Igbo Thomas of Okolo Ani village Igbo Etiti LGA Enugu State for allegedly having canal knowledge of his 3 daughters.
“Upon conclusion of thorough investigation, the suspect was arraigned at the State High Court Awka and has been remanded at Awka Correctional Center by the Judge,” the statement reads.
