Senator Aliyu Wamakko has described Late Balarabe Musa as a dogged rare democrat, patriot and nationalist.
This is contained in a statement by his spokesperson, Bashir Mani made available to AsheNews on Wednesday.
“The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence and Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Anti Corruption, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, has described the late second Republic Governor of the old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, as a dogged and a rare Democrat.
“The former Governor of Sokoto State also said that, the late former Governor was a core Patriot and Nationalist, who has left a wide vacuum too difficult to fill in the Nigerian political sphere.
“Wamakko, was reacting to the sad newsdeath of the news of the deceased, in the early hours of today, November 11,2020, at the ripe age of 84.
“Senator Wamakko recalled that the late Balarabe Musa had recorded tremendous tangible achievements when he was the Governor of the defunct Kaduna State between October 1979 and June 23, 1981,” the statement reads.
Wamakko stated that the demise of Balarabe Musa was a colossal loss not only to his immediate family or Kaduna State, but to the country in general.
He prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus, as well as grant his family, people and Government of Kaduna State the formidable fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
