ASHENEWS reports that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it will carry out a maintenance exercise at the Delta 132/33kV Transmission Substation.
According to TCN, the exercise scheduled for on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, from 10 am to 1 pm seeks to address a fault on the 132kV Delta1 busbar.
“Consequently, the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) will not be able to offtake power to supply Agbarho/Eku, Otovwodo/Patani, Ughelli/Shell, Beta Glass, Aladja, Isoko/Kwale, and Imoniyame.
“Additionally, customers on the 33kV Effurun, Enerhen, PTI, Sapele, Refinery 1, Refinery 2, and Warri feeders, which emanate from the Effurun Transmission Substation, will also be affected,” a statement signed by the General Manager, Oublic Affwirs at the TCN, Ndidi Mbah said.
The company while regretting the inconvenience that may be caused by the exercise assured residents that power supply will be supplied immediately after the exercise is completed.
