The Sokoto state Ministry for Women and Children Affairs is to partner with the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) in the area of skills acquisition.
The Commissioner, Kulu Sifawa made this known when POWA executives, led by the state chairperson, Aishatu Mohammed Gumel paid courtesy visit to the ministry in Thursday.
According to Sifawa, the state government is ready to partner with POWA in line with the ministry’s mandate of women development and empowerment.
The commissioner told the POWA Chairperson to nominate 50 members for immediate training on skills acquisition and support programs.
