The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Sokoto State, has warned motorists to desist from parking indiscriminately at market places or face the consequences.

Mr Abdullahi Hassan, FRSC Sokoto Sector Commander, gave the warning in a statement issued to newsmen by Muhammad Halidu, the command’s Public Relation Officer, on Wednesday in the state.

According to Hassan, the corps, in collaboration with the Sokoto state Environment Sanitation Task Force, is set to evacuate all vehicles that are parked indiscriminately at the state old market and Abu Dankure market areas.

“Those motorists who abandon their vehicles in those areas should immediately have a rethink.

“The FRSC would continue to enhance its staffers capacity on routine patrol to ensure that any violation of road traffic rules is dealt with accordingly.”

Hassan further warned commercial motorists to desist from overloading their vehicles and stop parking inside the motor pack, adding that offenders would face the wrath of the law.
