The Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) on Friday, disassociated itself from reports on loan disbursement to farmers, describing it as online scam.
This is contained in a statement by the National President of the Association, Aminu Goronyo and made available to ASHENEWS.
“The scammers are using the RIFAN logo, asking people to fill an online form to access loan for rice cultivation
The Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) warns that it is a scam and warned Nigerians not to fall victims!
“RIFAN is not carrying out its programmes online and hereby warn Nigerians to be wary of falling for such cheap scams.
“For emphasis, RIFAN is operating its Anchor Borrowers’ programme strictly based on the guidelines issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),” the statement reads.
