The Kaduna State Government has commenced discussion with a renowned financial consulting firm, Deloitte Nigeria, to assist the State in boosting its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
This is contained in a statement by Muhammad Shehu, the Chief Press Secretary to Kaduna state governor, which was made available to journalists on Thursday in Kaduna.
According to the statement, the 2022 IGR stood at N58.1 billion.
He explained that at the meeting to mark the commencement of the partnership on Wednesday, Gov. Uba Sani reiterated his commitment to boosting the IGR in order to achieve sustainable growth and development of the State.
He expressed optimism that the Firm will fashion out strategies that will help achieve the set goal.
Gov. Sani expressed the hope that with the collaborative efforts of all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), the strategies will be successfully implemented and lead to the desired increased revenue generation for the sustainable growth and development of Kaduna State.
Representatives of Deloitte Nigeria later presented their recommendations on how the state can rapidly increase its revenue generation.
