The wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Folu Adeboye, says Redeemer’s University Business School was established to develop men and women of integrity in the business world.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, on Friday in Osogbo.
According to the statement, Adeboye spoke during the inauguration of the business school at Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun, noting that the institution would become world-class in executive business education in Nigeria.
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, emphasized that the school is not just another addition to executive education but a necessary response to the growing need for integrity in leadership.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, thanked newly appointed board members, including corporate leaders, for accepting the mandate to guide the institution toward becoming a leading force in the industry.
Similarly, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Kayode Pitan, said the school aims to cultivate leaders of integrity who excel in the marketplace.
“We aim to produce men and women with integrity, trusting God to achieve exploits in the marketplace. We have an excellent curriculum, but more importantly, we will shape people God can use to change the nation for the better,” he said.
The Managing Director and CEO of Alpha Morgan Bank, Mr. Ade Buraimo, expressed delight at being among the board members. He noted that many members had studied at top global business schools, including Harvard, and would leverage their experience in managing the institution.
“We will use our proximity to Lagos, the commercial hub, and our expertise to ensure graduates are not only professionally excellent but also morally sound,” Buraimo said.
The business school was inaugurated on April 2.
