ASHENEWS reports that the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero has eulogises the Kano state Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammed Usaini Gumel, and described him as a “professional cop”.

This online platform further reports that Bayero made the comments when the Commissioner paid homage to the Emir of Kano on Wednesday.

CP Gumel’s visit is a continuation of his strategic consultation with revered personalities, including traditional leaders in the state.

“The CP is not new to us, because we know the contribution he offered during the just concluded governorship election in the state. Allah has answered our prayers, he came back as the substantive Commissioner of police Kano.

“The police job is very hard but when our hearts are pure, Allah will make it easy for us, and we are rest assured that the CP and his management team have kind minds, especially how he professionally delivered during the just concluded governorship election.

“I urge your team to be sincere and give you good advice, also pray for Kano to continue to be peaceful. May you have a successful tenure. I assure you that this palace is your home; our doors are always open,” the Emir said.

Earlier, CP Gumel said the visit of the Police Command’s management team, was for the purpose of introduction, and to seek synergy with the traditional institution, especially the Kano Emirate in the fight against Crimes and criminality.

“The visit aims to formally introduce ourselves and our position before our father. The command under my watch will work tirelessly in synergy with this palace as it is the directive of the Inspector General of Police.
