ASHENEWS reports that the Director of Human Resource Management, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Ibrahim Mohammed Abdul has enjoined corps members to desist from drug abuse and other social vices.
Abdul stated this while addressing the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Corps Members at the NYSC permanent Orientation Camp, Dakingari, Suru Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Abdul who advised the corps members against unauthorized journeys also urged them to be law-abiding and follow all camp rules and regulations.
He stressed the need for the corps members to participate in all camp activities.
He also charged corps members to impact positively their host communities through the Community Development Services (CDS).
Similarly, he encouraged the corps members to pick interests and engage effectively in The HRM Director, stressed the importance of the training opportunities provided by the NYSC’s skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programs.
Speaking earlier, the Kebbi State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs. Okolo Agatha Banki disclosed that a total of 1416 Corps Members were registered comprising 695 males and 561 females as at the closure of the registration exercise for both Kebbi and Zamfara States.
