Nigerian vice president, Yemi Osinbajo on Friday reacted to allegation linking him to the collapsed 21-storey Lagos budding.
The building, which collapsed in Lagos on Monday was reported by an online newspaper to have attempted to influence the Lagos state housing regulatory authorities to favour foul play.
However, in a statement by his spokesperson, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo expressed sympathies with the families of the victims of the building collapse.
He also denied making any alleged move to influence the Lagos state housing regulatory authorities to favour foul play.
The vice president alleged that political actors were trying to use the situation to malign his image.
He also accused the online newspaper of being sponsored to engage in a smear campaign against his person.
