The House of Reps member representing Igabi federal constituency, Zayyad Ibrahim has secured relief materials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displace Persons and distributed to IDPs and vulnerable persons in his constituency.
The relief materials which were distributed on Sunday, 25th December 2022 at the LEA Primary School, Jaji include rice, beans, maize, salt, spaghetti, cement, groundnut, tomatoes, maggi and zinc.
Others are mat, towels, mattress, charcoal cooker, mosquito nets, children wears, women wears, brocade, plastic buckets, plates, cups and bowls.
Presenting the items, Ibrahim said the relief materials were meant to cushion the effects of the hardship that the people of his constituency, some of whom are suffering from bandits attacks, among other natural disasters.
He urged them to utilize the items for their goods and not sell them off.
Ibrahim urged his constituents not to sell their voters cards but vote for credible candidates that will sustain the good works being enjoyed now.
He also admonished the youths of his constituents not to engage in social vices or allow themselves to be used as political thugs.
“Let us pray for a successful elections and pray also for good leaders,” adding that only elected good leaders can bring about development in the state in particular and country at large.
Responding, some of the beneficiaries commended the Rep member for his magnanimity and kind gesture and prayed God to bless him.
