ASHENEWS reports that the Kebbi state government has lauded the appointment of the state’s former governor, Atiku Bagudu, and the Minister of State Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu over their recent appointments by President Bola Tinubu.
This is contained in a statement issued by Murtala Gotomo, the Press Secretary of the Deputy Governor’s Office, made available to ASHENEWS on Tuesday.
The statement said that the state deputy governor, Umar Abubakar made the commendation when he received on courtesy call, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
Abubakar who thanked the minister for the visit, also congratulated him and his colleague, the Minister of State Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu for their well-deserved appointments as Ministers by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“As I know your capacity, I believe you will not fail the state, you will be good ambassadors of the state and I believe you will be the best Ministers in the federation,” Abubakar assured.
On his part, Bagudu lauded the present administration under the leadership of Dr. Nasir Idris for its transformative agenda for the state.
The Minister, who expressed confidence in the ability of the Governor and his Deputy as a team to achieve better development goals also called on the people of the State to support the Administration for more dividends of democracy.
The Minister equally condoled with the people and government of Kebbi State over the death of famous Islamic scholar, Late Abubakar Giro Argungu who died recently after a brief illness.
