ASHENEWS reports that the Kebbi State Governor-elect, Nasir Idris has been advised to prioritize the development of the state’s agriculture sector in a bid to revamp its economy.
Engr Manir Musa Jega, a close associate of the Governor-elect have the advice while speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.
He said that the state has abundant natural and agricultural potentials which could move the state from a consumption to a production economy.
“The Governor-elect is conversant with the human needs of the people having traveled the length and breadth of the state as a teacher, we, therefore, urge him to introduce sustainable human empowerment programs that will enrich the society,” the politician said.
Jega also recommended that the Governor-elect runs an all-inclusive government.
In his words, ” the period of electioneering is over, he should therefore form an all-inclusive Government that will take development to the 21 Local Government Areas of the state,”
He also advised the incoming Governor to work towards tackling the challenge of insecurity in the state.
This he said, will ensure that the state meets its target of improving commercial agriculture and industrial development.
