As the world comes together to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, the Center for Innovative and Pragmatic Development Initiative (CIPDI) has taken a moment to honour the strength, resilience, and achievements of women while calling for greater opportunities for them to thrive.
The President of CIPDI, Ifeanyi Nwanoro, in a statement on March 7, 2025, highlighted the remarkable contributions of women in communities, workplaces, and leadership roles, emphasizing the need for equal access to education, financial resources, and decision-making platforms.
“Women have always been at the heart of progress, shaping families, businesses, and societies. Yet, many still struggle to get the recognition and support they deserve. Today, we celebrate their achievements and renew our commitment to breaking barriers that hold them back,” said Nwanoro.
Beyond celebration
CIPDI’s message for IWD 2025 was clear—empowering women is not just about one day of celebration but about continuous action. The organization will continue to launch new mentorship programs, skills training workshops, and advocacy campaigns to push for more inclusion of women in leadership and business.
“Every woman deserves a fair chance to reach her full potential. As we celebrate today, we must also ask ourselves: What are we doing to make sure the future is brighter for the next generation of women?” Nwanoro added.
CIPDI urged governments, businesses, and individuals to step up and support women’s empowerment not just in words, but in real, tangible actions.
As the world marks IWD 2025, CIPDI remains committed to ensuring women are seen, heard, and given the opportunities they deserve—every single day.
