The factional state chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Surajo Maikatako has emerged along with 31 executive members in Zamfara.
Led by Senator Kabiru Marafa, the faction announced its officials during its congress held in Tsafe town, the headquarters of Tsafe local government area in Saturday.
According to our reporter, over 5,000 delegates across the 147 wards and local government areas, attended the congress to elect the factional officials.
Speaking at the congress, Senator Marafa urged the new party executives to be law-abiding and remain good ambassadors and true citizens of the state.
Represented by his spokesperson, Bello Bakyasuwa, Marafa further called on them to remain steadfast and shun anything capable of destroying the good reputation of their teeming supporters in the state.
In his acceptance speech, Maikatako assured to carried all members along in order for the party to progress in the state.
Others elected were Danmalan Maiyadi, vice chairman; Awwalu Garba, treasurer; Nasiru Gummi, secretary; Nafisa Marafa, state woman leader; Abubakar Gura, organizing secretary; publicity secretary, Bello Bakyasuwa.
