The Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom in Lagos State, Oba Saheed Ademola, has been celebrated as a visionary and focused traditional ruler on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
The Bobajiroro of Otun-Ekiti in Moba land, Sule Aminu, felicitated the traditional ruler in a statement issued in Otun-Ekiti on Friday.
Aminu, a tourism and property expert, said the 21st Elegushi has demonstrated good works and selfless service to his people and beyond.
He said the Elegushi title emanated from a warrior lineage whose early rulers were known for defending their territory and safeguarding vital trade routes along the Atlantic coast.
Aminu also described Oba Ademola’s reign as a shining example of wisdom, progress, and dedication to the growth of his people and the preservation of tradition.
“Your good works and selfless service to your people have brought numerous achievements and development to the town and its indigenes,” Aminu said.
According to him, the traditional ruler is celebrated for promoting tourism, particularly through Elegushi Beach, while upholding the throne’s honor and dignity and embracing modern development for the benefit of the people.
“The Ikate-Elegushi domain has seen significant expansion in real estate and infrastructure development, largely due to his leadership.
“We celebrate a remarkable royal father whose leadership inspires hope, unity, and prosperity across Lagos State and the nation at large.
“May your new age bring you greater strength, divine wisdom, and continued success on the throne of your forefathers,” he said.
It was recalled that the Elegushi was born on April 10, 1976, and was crowned in 2010 at the age of 34.
