ASHENEWS reports that the North-South Power Company (NSP) has donated two cows to internally displaced persons in Kuta and Erena, both in Shiroro local government area of Niger state.
The donation to the IDPs by the NSP is aimed at supporting the displaced persons ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Speaking while handing over the donation to the IDPs, the consultant and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer at NSP Shiroro Dam, Hassan Abdullahi, along with the Corporate Social Responsibility Senior Officer at NSP, Mr Aminu Masaga expressed heartfelt sympathy for the IDPs and reiterated NSP’s commitment to assisting them.
The duo while expressing the NSP’s readiness to support the IDPs with essential support services expressed optimism that peace would return to their homes very shortly.
They further conveyed the pledge of the Executive Director of NSP to assist the IDPs with food items before the Sallah festival.
Receiving the items on behalf of the displaced persons, the Director of the Social Development Department, Mr. MusanKuta Abdullahi, lauded the company for their support to the IDP camps in Shiroro Local Government Area.
Abdullahi, while encouraging them to imbibe good hygiene practices further urged them to sustain prayers for the company and the country at large.
