Sokoto state government, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on Thursday, cut short his official engagements in Abuja following the killing of a student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto, Deborah Samuel.
The series of meetings is in the Governor’s efforts to deliberate on the way to tackle the aftermath of the killing of Miss Samuel.
Recall that Miss Samuel was killed at the premises of the College over alleged act of blasphemy.
The governor returned to Sokoto where he held closed door meeting with heads of security agencies as well as the state Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Fr. Nuhu Iliya at the Government House on Thursday.
Similarly on Friday, Tambuwal met with Islamic clerics at the Government House.
Although ASHENEWS could not obtain details of the meetings, it could not be unconnected to the incident in the college.
