The Publisher of Solacebase online newspaper, Abdullateef Abubakar Jos has been honoured by the 2021 class of Masters in Communication Studies (MCS) of Bayero University, Kano (BUK).
The occasioned took place on Friday at a dinner and award night, organized by the graduating students for the successful completion of masters program from the prestigious department of Mass Communication of the university.
Announcing the award, the Secretary, Technical Committee of the event, Dr Murtala Muhammad said the honour is to appreciate the awardee, Abdullateef Jos, for his inevitable contribution to the development of Communication Studies.
Also, presenting the award to the publisher, the immediate past Vice-chancellor of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and a lecturer with the department, Professor Abdulla Adamu, congratulated him and urged him to keep up the good job.
Reacting to the award, Abdullateef Jos, who was elated with the surprise honour said he was at the event as an invited guest without the premonition of the award.
Other awardees include Professor Abdallah Adamu, Professor Umaru Pate, Dr Mainasara Kurfi, Dr Nura Ibrahim, Dr Usman I. Abubakar, Dr Ashir Inuwa, Dr Musa Labaran, Dr Hassan Ya’u, Dr Saminu Umar and Mukhtar Magaji.
Others are the MCS Class Representative, Anas Muhammad, the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Alhassan Doguwa, and several members of the class for their various contributions to the success of the program.
